Florals are new, but driving is not. Petals n Buds Florist is new but helping locals is not. My actual career developed during the early years of IT, which led me being a key National Support Specialists to form a Technical Operations Centre responsible for supporting field staff in all major Canadian cities. I’ve also been self-employed supporting small businesses with income tax preparation and consulting. Since 1983 I have been taking classes in theology and for six years acted Lead Pastor for a church on Bowen Island. Moving to Vancouver Island I launched a career in Tourism as a Limo and Chartered Bus Driver, which I still enjoy being asked to do, on special occasions. These days I make deliveries for Petals n Buds Florist, through Victoria and all up the peninsula as far as the Malahat, Sooke, Gordon Head and North Saanich as well as for SD63 driving a school bus packed with children to home from school and vice versa. All these positions give me a lot of joy and feed my appetite for caring for others in a way that is relevant and meaningful. I received my commercial driving license in October 1967 and my private pilot license in June 1987. Married Cathy in 1989 and our children came along in 1990 and 1992 and we have our first grandchild as recently as in 2022. I love living in Brentwood Bay and enjoy being a part of its simple and kind community. I enjoy being a part of Petals n Buds growing team and have been a part of its team since 2020.
